If could do stars I would.Firstly, I would like say when walking in my partner and I was greeted by a very rude young man who gave nothing but attitude. Customer service / walking in.Now let’s get into the meal I order the Two step ( brisket, spare ribs, baked beans, and Mac and cheese) when I tell you !!!! This food was disgusting. The beans were overly spicy to the point I couldn’t even eat them and I love spicy food. I was then offered plain Jane Brussel sprouts. The Mac and cheese is so pathetic not a grain of salt or pepper. My brisket tasted like some type of chemical and was just fat. The spare ribs were so tough. My partner had a sampler ( brisket, spare ribs, wings, potato salad, and chili) The best thing about his plate was the wings. Now let’s talk about that disgraceful potato salad they had the nerve to serve! It tasted like a pickled onion. I kid you not that was the most nastiest salad I had in my life. The chili had great flavor but was too spicy to enjoy. We paid $ for dog food. Please don’t waste your time or money. This is not it.

The fedrib sandwich was every bit of EVERYTHING! I don’t like pickles on my sandwiches— but I gobbled it right on up !!!! The amazing flavor of this sandwich!!!! Can we talk about how huge it is ?! I couldn’t eat it all !!!! Well worth the money !!!! The sticky garlic sauce packs a sweet and salty hybrid that I’m not sure how I lived without it? It was the highlight of my week! I wish they’d keep it on the menu longer !

We used to frequent the Adam's Morgan location when we lived in DC and were really looking forward to eating here again, but unfortunately it was not what it used to be. The coleslaw and beans were not dressed or seasoned at all. The Brussel sprouts were soggy and overcooked. The smoked turkey (which has always been stellar) had no smoke flavor and was more like deli style turkey. The brisket was fatty, cold, and still quite tough. The ribs also need some extra time (the meat used to come off the bone so nicely). The person who greeted us looked bored and actually set his arm on the ordering area as he seemed annoyed we weren't ordering fast enough (there was no line at all). It really breaks my heart this place has changed in terms of service and quality. This was always a great place to eat and the cooks and front staff were always so friendly. The new space looks great, I just wished the rest had not changed along with the facility. Please bring back the 'que we remember and love so much.

Wow great find! We were in a hurry to get to the airport after leaving the National Zoo. Googled restaurants in the area on way to airport and found Federalist Pig! Great barbecue! The first time I was ever asked if I wanted fat or no fat on my sliced brisket which was great as I hate getting huge pieces of fat on Beef brisket. I know some people like it so it’s great that they ask!! The barbecue chicken was also excellent! Fried Brussels sprouts were surprisingly a large portion!
